Powerful Comeback for Ishan kishan, SRH beat RR by 44 Runs ....

SRH’s Magical Batting Display in IPL 2025 Opener Against Rajasthan Royals....

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) kicked off their IPL 2025 campaign with a sensational batting performance against Rajasthan Royals (RR), posting a record-breaking total of 286/6 in 20 overs. The RR bowlers had no answers to SRH’s explosive batting, as they tore through the attack with ease.

SRH’s Batting Blitz

The SRH batters came out all guns blazing:

Abhishek Sharma – 24 (11)

Travis Head – 67 (32)

Ishan Kishan – 106 (47)

Nitish Reddy – 30 (15)

Heinrich Klaasen – 34 (14)

Ishan Kishan was the standout performer, smashing a breathtaking century to set the tone for the season. With this IPL being crucial for his comeback into the Indian squad, he has certainly made a statement with a powerful knock.

RR’s Struggling Bowling Attack

It was a forgettable night for RR’s bowlers, as they leaked runs heavily:

Fazalhaq Farooqi – 49 runs in 3 overs (0 wickets)

Maheesh Theekshana – 52 runs in 4 overs (2 wickets: Abhishek Sharma & Nitish Reddy)

Jofra Archer – 76 runs in 4 overs (economy: 19.00)

Sandeep Sharma – 51 runs in 4 overs (1 wicket: Heinrich Klaasen)

Tushar Deshpande – 44 runs in 4 overs (3 wickets: Travis Head, Aniket Verma, Abhinav Manohar)

Deshpande was the only positive in an otherwise expensive bowling effort. He picked up three crucial wickets and was on a hat-trick in the final over.

RR’s Chase Falls Short Despite a Fight

Chasing a mammoth 286, Rajasthan had a shaky start, losing key batters Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag, and Nitish Rana cheaply. However, a brilliant partnership between:

Sanju Samson – 66 (37)

Dhruv Jurel – 70 (35)

kept RR in the hunt with a 111-run stand off 60 balls. Contributions from Shimron Hetmyer (42 off 23) and Shubham Dubey (34 off 11) gave them a fighting chance, but they ultimately fell short by 44 runs, finishing at 242/6.

SRH’s Bowling Performance

SRH’s bowlers had a strong start but struggled in the middle and death overs:

Mohammed Shami – 33 runs in 3 overs (1 wicket: Nitish Rana)

Simarjeet Singh – 46 runs in 4 overs (2 wickets: Jaiswal, Parag)

Pat Cummins – 60 runs in 4 overs (0 wickets)

Adam Zampa – 48 runs in 4 overs (1 wicket)

Harshal Patel – 34 runs in 4 overs (2 wickets)

Despite some expensive spells, SRH managed to hold off RR’s chase and secure a convincing victory.
